Stephan Larose
First published at the tender age of 11, Stephan has always loved creating new worlds and imagining fantastic stories to take place in them. Inspired by the magical realism of Salman Rushdie and Arundhati Roy, the comedy of Joseph Heller, Tom Robbins and Douglas Adams, the fantasy of Stephen Erikson, Robert Jordan and Tolkien, the sci-fi of William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, Richard K. Morgan, and many more, Stephan has always loved layering a skein of dreams, poetry, and symbolism over the realities of individual psychology, the problem of communication, political intrigue, class conflict and the human condition.
Stephan has worked as a singer, rapper, actor, freelance video producer, luxury magazine Shanghai Bureau Chief, writer, editor, blogger, teacher, trainer, branding manager, show director, salesman, GM, host, and a lot of other jobs. The kind of guy that says “Yes” to opportunity and “No” to fear.
Stephan’s most fervent wishes are 1) the positive sexuality social network he invents in 2025 unites humanity, ends all war and motivates the transition to a fully green economy by 2035; 2) A fully-detailed Refuge One becomes, one day, rendered in VR; 3) the Refuge One interactive theme park becomes, one day, a reality people can physically experience; 4) that he lives long enough to take a vacation to Mars.
Jericho Yang, Sokaris Founder and President
Sokaris founder Jericho Yang is also its lead concept artist. He has over 10 years of experience as a concept/visual artist and has worked with well known brands such as Chivas, Corona, Nike, Converse, Chanel, The NBA, Adidas, Victoria’s Secret and more. Mr. Yang is responsible for the everyday running of Sokaris as well as leading the visual and concept design team.
Adon Lee, Director, Sokaris Inc. Canada
Mr. Lee studied Asia Pacific Management at Grant MacEwan University in Canada. He has held senior positions at various companies over the last 12 years including Vice-President of English Computerized Learning Inc. and President of SocialArena Games Inc. Mr. Lee brings his knowledge of running international businesses to Sokaris with focus on branding, business expansion, client communication and human resources.
Vasily Betin, New Media Creative Director, Sokaris
Mr. Betin holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University and Masters of Arts Degree from Chongqing University. He has been part of dozens of new media events over the last 8 years and has been featured in many publications. Mr. Betin leads the creative team on new media projects at Sokaris with a focus on visual performance, interactive systems and installations, light installations and space design/responsible environments.
